  • The World Premiere of “Last Dance”

    July 1st, 2010

The day has arrived, it’s time for my “Last Dance”. Below is a snippet from the Press Release, but just skip to the end if you want to get dancing!

Think you know Donna Summer’s “Last Dance”? Think again.
Girl In The Red Dress has taken the legendary 1978 track and worked her unique magic on it.

The new “Last Dance” combines an infectious up-tempo beat with the Girl’s trademark dark-edged vocals. Far from a copycat cover version of the Paul Jabara-penned classic, the Girl’s reworking is a passionate but forceful cry from the heart, bittersweet and unforgettable. And very danceable.

Produced by Chris G at Studio Chicago, the track was co-engineered by Amber Moelter, the founder of ALM Talkies and creative force behind Girl In The Red Dress.

“Last Dance” is the second release in a series of imaginative cover versions of tracks from iconic female artists, re-recorded by Girl In The Red Dress.

It follows the Girl’s chart-topping version of “Who’s That Girl?”, which turned the Madonna song into a soulful French waltz and spun the track in a new and unexpected direction to great acclaim.

Last Dance” by Girl In The Red Dress is available in MP3 256kbps format, which will play on iPod® and all MP3 players.

Download it securely through Paypal or with credit card for $0.99.
Don’t waste a minute, because it’s time to DANCE!

Thank you to all the fans who have been so supportive of my music. I love to express myself through singing, but you make the party much more fun! I hope you love this track and play it at the end of your next party. Let’s make this Summer hot.

If you’re still not sold, here’s the teaser video to tempt you:

I’m super, super excited to present to you my, er…Girl In The Red Dress’s newest single “Last Dance”. It is derivative of the classic disco track from Donna Summer, but as I’m sure you’ll notice Girl got her hands dirty and fooled around with the melody until it became her own.
