  • ALMT-Wordplay Wednesdays: ALMad Libs #2

    January 20th, 2010

On ALMT-Wordplay Wednesday I like to monkey around.

This week we’re doing another Mad Libs, just like last week.

Did you ever play Mad Libs when you were young? You know, where you have to fill in a list of words which transform a regular story into something potentially hilarious. Well, I thought it would be fun to try that with ALMT content. Thanks to Mad Glibs you can try it out and (if you keep it clean) post it in the comments below. I’d love to see what you come up with! (In case you need a refresher on MadLibs, here’s a simple outline to help).

  • Monkey around on Wordplay Wednesday

    January 6th, 2010

Word games are sweet. Well, sweeter than rabies
Hot as Poindexter & Cool as Ice Babys.
Stop! In the name of love, don’t leave this page
Flee and I’ll pull a Dirty Step Upstage.

Now that I’ve got your undivided attention,
There’s something that I have been dying to mention.
Fans of neologism, rhetoric and spooning
Today is your day for some verbal harpooning.

An ALMad Lib, a crossword, a pun
On Odin’s day may offer a great source of fun.
If not fun, perhaps a welcome retreat
When you’re bored off your face at your job, mid of week.

That rhyme was imperfect, but give me a break
I was checking to see if you were still awake.
Without further ado (and tell all of your friends-day)
Willkommen and All That Jazz to Wordplay Wednesday.
